Karnataka Lingayat Education Society has grown from a single school in Belgaum to a network of over 300 institutions across India, guided by the vision of our 'Saptarishis' (Seven Saints).
Our Founders
The saga begins with its illustrious founders. Sri. Chachadi Veerabhadrappa Gunappa Desai, ruler of chachadi province, Sri. Artal Rudragouda, District Deputy Collector in the British Government and Sri. Vaijappa Anigol Rao Bahadur during the British Rule, who all collectively believed in providing education for the common man.
Their efforts were ably supplemented by the seven visionaries- Sri. S. S. Basavanal, Sri. M. R. Sakhare, Sri. B. B. Mamadapur, Sri. H. F. Kattimani, Sri. Panditappa Chikkodi, Sri. B. S. Hanchinal and Sri. Sardar Veeranagouda Patil, with the collective contribution from renowned philanthropists of the region, such as Sri. Sirsangi Lingaraj, Sri. Raja Lakhamagouda Sardesai and Sri. Bhoomaraddi Basappa.
With help from other philosophers, intellectuals, and educationists, the society began laying a strong educational foundation, with its base at Belgaum, Karnataka.

Modern farming methods must be employed to ensure the food security of not only the farming community but the nation itself. Education is the foundation upon which we build tomorrow. Our focus must be to build diversity and excellence into the educational system so that every challenge ahead is met with confidence.

KLE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY
K.L.E. Institute of Technology (KLEIT), Hubli was established in 2008 under the esteemed K.L.E. Society, Belagavi. The K.L.E. Society is 105+ years old and runs 300+ institutions across the state and states of Maharashtra and Delhi. It has presence in Dubai too and has grown over the years as citadel of education.
KLEIT offers five UG programs apart from MCA and MTech (CSE). The K.L.E. Institute of Technology has all UG programs NBA accredited, figured in 251-300 band in NIRF Ranking 2021, ISO 21001:2018 certified, recognized under section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956, AICTE Recognized and affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi. It is one of the best developing engineering colleges in North Karnataka. The institute is constructed on a land of 11 acres, a green and clean campus.
The different programs are housed in six separate blocks, each with an average built-up area of 60,000 sqft. The spacious Classrooms, Seminar halls, State–of–the–art, laboratories, Computer Centers, Library, 400 Mbps leased line connectivity, 150 KVA power backup, Canteen, Canara Bank ATM, Medical Facility, Incubation facility, Bus services, Rainwater harvesting, Sewage Treatment plant, playground, basketball court and well–furnished rooms in Hostels, etc., make living on the campus easy and cozy.

I take this platform to welcome and congratulate each one of you for choosing the engineering career in general and choosing K L E Institute of Technology (KLEIT) in particular. KLE is a brand building citadels of academia. The holy work of enlightening the youth started by the Saptarishis a century ago is continued with the same reverence, but with giant strides by the people at the helm of affairs today.
KLEIT stands on pillars of effective teaching and learning, excellent infrastructure, with a vision to transform the young minds into engineering brains to serve the society. We endeavour to cherish the competence of our students for the competitive world, and at the same time our focus is also on character building of our youth.
All our undergraduate programs are accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA). Our institute is also certified by ISO. KLEIT has adopted the Outcome based education through diversified teaching learning pedagogies. This embracement inculcates high gain in theoretical knowledge and enhancement in realising the learnt theory. Continuous brain storming in the institute at different levels imparts the required skills and entrepreneurial endeavours in the students to keep up with the fast-paced changes in engineering and technology.
KLEIT constantly encourages upgrading skills of its human resources to infuse the quest for quality to work with willingness and vigour which would benefit all its stake holders. Considerable effort is directed to strengthen interdisciplinary research culture leading to solutions to the real world problems in various verticals. All these efforts have culminated into excellent student performance and their placement in high profile companies. Innovation and startups are becoming a culture in the institute with many in-house startups located on the campus.
KLEIT's support to co-curricular and extra-curricular activities has produced considerable numbers of University blues and performers at state and National levels. The focused vision has produced skilled, competitive, competent and assertive professionals to serve the society and the country.
