BLOOD DONATION CAMP 2021

A blood donation camp was organized by Youth Red Cross Wing of K. L. E. Institute of Technology in association with National Integrated forum of artists and activists (NIFAA), Karnataka Institute of Medical Science (KIMS), Hubballi and NSS KLEIT on 23rd March 2021 on the eve of the 90th Martyrdom Day of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru & Sukhdev under Samvedna, International Blood & Plasma Donation Campaign in the college premises.

The activity of blood donation was started in the morning 10:00 am by inaugurating event by Dr. B. S. Anami Principal KLEIT, Dr. Sharad Joshi Dean academics and Prof. Mahantesh Sajjan  and representatives of of KIMS medical staff and NIFAA organisers. There was an overwhelming response from students, Faculty and other donors a total of 78 units were collected in the camp donated by students, volunteers, and faculty. Some of the donors could not donate because of less weight & hemoglobin content.  Some of them were assured of donations in the next camp.  A certificate of appreciation by KIMS, donation card with blood group and refreshment were given to each donor as a token of gratitude. This donation card will be helpful to them in future emergency need and  appreciation certificates from NIFAA which is signed by artists and activists. students volunteers  YRCW & NSS are actively Coordinated for announcement in the class , registration of donors and providing refreshment kits to them. event was successfully completed and associate organizers are felt happy for conduction of this event and wished to join future endorsement of the similar activities.
