The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was established in 2008-2009 under the eminent leadership of Dr. Basavaraj S. Anami, Principal with an intake of 60 Students. It is one of the best-evolving engineering streams. Electronics and Communication Engineering is accredited by NBA for Three Years (2018 – 2021). The department has a research center, recognized by Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. The intake for UG increased to 120 in 2014-2015 and increased to 180 in 2023-24.

Mission
- Providing hands-on experience with state-of-the-art hardware and software infrastructure and constantly updating faculty to make students meet the requirements of industry and research institutions.
- Inculcating theoretical and practical foundations and design and development skills necessary for lifelong learning.
- Organizing value addition courses and continuous industry-institute interactions for bridging the gap between academia and industry.
- Imbibing human values and ethics to make them socially responsible professionals.

- Apply the knowledge of Electronics and Communication engineering to provide solutions in the relevant field, research, entrepreneurship, academia, engineering and administrative services.
- Design, install, operate and maintain electronics and communication systems.
